ON3EBR

Hey there! I’m Else, callsign ON3EBR. the suffix stands for my name Else BRasseur

When I met Egbert, I quickly realized his HAM radio hobby came as part of the package. I often joined him at amateur radio gatherings like HAM Radio in Friedrichshafen, and while I enjoyed the social side of it, I never really felt the urge to get a license myself.

But Egbert had other plans—just before the COVID pandemic, he signed me up for a course. To my own surprise, I passed the exam for the entry-level license on my very first try, and that’s how I got my callsign ON3EBR.

Unlike Egbert, I’m not really a QSL card collector. But I confirm all contacts via LoTW, eQSL.cc, DCL & Clublog.
For me, it’s simply about the joy of making that occasional contact.

Sensual photoghraphy is another interest Egbert and I enjoy together. And when he swaps his transceiver for his DSLR, I sometimes end up on the other side of the lens as his muse.

Above, you can see the logos of several digital mode clubs of which I have now become a member. Of course, I’m also a member of the Belgian national IARU society, the UBA.

My OM, ON4CAS, is deeply involved in awards and is a proud holder of the honorary pin of the Diploma Interests Group (DIG). Over the years, we have often attended gatherings of this association. At the moment, I am working hard to collect the required number of certificates so that, hopefully soon, I can become a member of DIG myself.
