The first weekend of 2026 was buzzing with radio activity as amateurs ventured out to activate bunkers for the BOTA Winterfest. I’m happy to report that I managed to bag the certificate in the highest “hunter” category. A “hunter,” for the record, is someone who bravely hunts down contacts from the safety of a comfortably warm shack, while others heroically battle snow, ice, and frozen fingers to set up their portable stations next to a bunker. True dedication comes in many forms!
